Premier League clubs are on red alert as the father of Toby Alderweireld pushes Atletico Madrid to allow his son to leave.
The former Ajax defender has been linked with Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool in recent days and is eager to move on after failing to nail down a regular start since his arrival in Madrid 12 months ago.
"He wants to play. If there is a solution, Atletico will not stop Toby," said Vic Alderweireld told Het Nieuwsblad.
"So to be loaned out would be the best option for us, then we will reassess the situation next year."
Alderweireld is tied to Atletico until 2017.
