The father of Real Madrid star Mesut Ozil feels coach Jose Mourinho isn't making the most of his son's qualities.

Mustafa Ozil says Mesut is being forced to work too hard off the ball.

He explained: "Look how (Lionel) Messi plays for Barcelona. They have ten players who work for Messi.

"At Real Madrid, Mesut is also the number 10, but others do not work for him. He runs between 12 and 14 miles per game, collecting the ball and distributing it well behind the strikers.

"This requires much expenditure of energy."
