Alan Curbishley is being linked with the vacant manager's job at Reading.

Former Charlton and West Ham manager Curbishley and Nigel Adkins who was sacked by Southampton in January are both in the frame.

He said: "My record's good but I've been out for some time. I probably need a chairman to take a gamble."
