Cunningham nets late penalty to give FC Dallas draw against Seattle Sounders

Seattle Sounders have come from a goal down only to concede a late penalty against FC Dallas at Pizza Hut Park.

The Sounders found themselves behind in the 26th minute when 2009 Golden Boot winner Jeff Cunningham struck from the penalty spot after being brought down by Sounders keeper Kasey Keller.

However, they fought back thanks to a 38th minute effort from Steve Zakuani who took the ball all the way into the area before slotting neatly with the inside of his right boot.

Fredy Montero then put the Sounders ahead ten minutes after the break with a sizzling 40 yard free-kick past Dario Sala in Dallas goals and it looked like the visitors would grab all three points until Dallas were awarded another spot kick.

Cunningham stepped up to the plate and the 33-year old again made no mistake from the spot to make it 2-2 and save his side from a home defeat and help grab their third draw of the season.
