Colorado Rapids technical director Paul Bravo says that striker Omar Cummings is definitely not leaving the club. The 28-year old Jamaican international, who scored 14 times for the MLS Cup champions this season, has recently been linked with Mexican club Estudiantes Tecos after their manager José Luis Sánchez Solá said he was interested in his services.
But Bravo says that Cummings will not be going anywhere.
"For us as a club, our stance is that Omar is not for sale," Bravo told MLSsoccer.com. "We're going to do everything that we can to try and keep him in Denver for the rest of his career.
"We understand that there are rumors out there that are floating around. We've not seen anything concrete, and we'll move forward with trying to take care of Omar.
"From a contractual standpoint, I think he's got two years left on his contract, so we've got nothing to worry about there. Our plan is to keep Omar," Bravo concluded.
