CSKA Moscow through to CL quarters

Russian club CSKA Moscow have won their way through to the Champions League quarter-finals with a 2-1 away win over Spaniards FC Sevilla.

After the first leg in Moscow ended 1-1, Sevilla took a slight advantage into the return bout but CSKA's Czech striker Tomas Necid put his side ahead in the 38th minute with a neat finish after Keisuke Honda played him in after a throw-in.

But Sevilla struck back through Diego Poretti just three minutes later to make it 1-1 all on the night and 2-2 overall.

The goal may have calmed the home fans for a short amount of time but ten minutes after the break, Honda powered home a free-kick against the run of play that came off the hands of Sevilla goalkeeper Andres Palop.

Honda's goal ended up being the deciding factor in CSKA moving into the quarter-finals for the first time and it left the Spanish outfit scratching their heads after they seemingly had a stranglehold on the match.
