Crystal Palace winger Bolasie would welcome Berahino or Benteke

Yannick Bolasie admits he would love to see Crystal Palace sign a new attacker this summer.

The Eagles continue to be linked with big-money moves for West Bromwich Albion's Saido Berahino and Liverpool's Christian Benteke with either player likely to be a great addition to Alan Pardew's squad according to Bolasie.

Despite the arrival of a new forward potentially providing direct competition for Bolasie, the DR Congo international believes competition for spots at Selhurst Park is only healthy.

"I know Saido and he would be a good signing," he said after scoring in Palace's 3-2 friendly win over AFC Wimbledon on Wednesday evening.

"I think he's a top lad. Everyone gets him a bit wrong but he's a top guy. And obviously Benteke has Congolese origin, same as me.

"It's good to see fresh faces come through the door, especially with what we're seeing in the Premier League so far; the managers that have come in and players coming in from all over the world.

"It's part of football I guess. I haven't had it easy where I've come from, I'll be looking forward to battling. It's a buzz for the whole team. Football is all about competition and I'm looking forward to that."
