Crystal Palace to welcome return of Murray

Crystal Palace's attacking stocks are set to rise with news that Glenn Murray is on the verge of a return.

The 30-year old was a star in the Eagles promotion-winning season last term when scoring 30 goals but succumbed to a serious knee injury in the playoff semi-final against Brighton & Hove Albion.

With Palace experiencing a goal-shy Premier League campaign, where they have netted just 13 goals in 21 outings, Murray's expected return next month will be welcomed by manager Tony Pulis.

"Glenn will be another week before he joins in with us for full training," he told the Croydon Advertiser.

"I would say he's about two or three weeks off.

"It would have been lovely to have him back earlier but that's not been the case, and we certainly do need some presence up front."
