Crystal Palace skipper Jedinak to miss Australia qualifiers

Mile Jedinak is set to be sidelined for up to three weeks with a hamstring injury.

The Australian midfielder sustained the injury in Tuesday night's Capital One Cup win over Shrewsbury Town and according to Eagles boss Alan Pardew, will now miss this weekend's Premier League clash with champions Chelsea as well as the upcoming World Cup qualifiers with the Socceroos.

"Mile has a little hamstring problem and definitely won't be involved at Chelsea," said Pardew.

"It looks like he will be out for two-to-three weeks, to me. And he will probably miss the international window, too."

Australia take on Bangladesh in Perth on September 3 and Tajikistan in Dushanbe five days later in Group B of Asian qualifying for Russia 2018.
