Crystal Palace's Jedinak urges Australia to 'impose' themselves on Japan

Australia captain Mile Jedinak has implored his side to make life difficult for Japan on Tuesday night.

Jedinak and his Socceroos teammates meet their Asian rivals in a friendly in Osaka and the Crystal Palace midfielder is looking to enforce himself against a top quality opponent consisting of such players as Keisuke Honda and Shinji Kagawa.

"Obviously every midfield combination deserves respect as will be the case tomorrow night," he said.

"I'll play my football like I always have - with no fear.

"There will be mutual respect and admiration but come game time, it's time for me to show my thing and for my teammates to do the same.

"We have to impose ourselves."
