Crystal Palace midfielder Bannan: Speroni has plenty of years ahead

Barry Bannan says Crystal Palace goalkeeper Julian Speroni has plenty of years ahead of him.

The Eagles beat Dundee 4-3 at Selhurst Park, with Bannan playing in the first half - his first appearance back in a Palace shirt after his loan spell with Bolton Wanderers ended on May 3.

"It was great night and Julian got a fitting testimonial," the Scotsman told the Croydon Advertiser.

"He's not finished yet, he's still got another few years in him still.

"He looks as fit as ever, to me. He's very athletic and he doesn't look like finishing soon.

"The fans from Dundee also played a big part, and Palace fans turned out in their numbers again. It is that kind of support for the man and the years he's been here."
