Crystal Palace have made an offer to Edgar Davids.
The former Holland star - without a club since quitting Ajax in 2008 - has held talks with Palace boss George Burley about joining the Championship club.
And the midfielder, 37, is currently weighing up Palace's offer of a short-term deal.
Davids, who spent two years with Spurs and counts Barcelona, Juventus, Inter and AC Milan among his former clubs, is keen on a return to London.
The player stalled on an offer to join Leicester last October but Burley is confident he can convince Davids to sign up for a stint at Selhurst Park.
