Crystal Palace are looking into the possibility of adding Samir Nasri to the squad on a free transfer.
With the window closed, the only players who can be bought by clubs are those who are out of contract at the moment.
Nasri fits the bill. He also has Premier League experience at both Arsenal and Manchester City. His deal with Turkish club Antalayspor was terminated recently.
Palace fans are hoping the club's chairman Steve Parish will sanction a deal for the talented attacking midfielder.
Nasri would add plenty of creativity and goals to the side, which are two qualities they could use as they attempt to remain in the Premier League.
