Crystal Palace boss Hodgson worried government will stop him doing his job

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson is concerned he'll be blocked from carrying out his work when training resumes.

The Sun says Hodgson has told friends that he is worried he will not be able to take charge of the Eagles when football resumes because of the Government's coronavirus guidelines.

Those over the age of 70 have been deemed 'high risk' by the Government and will likely still be the subject of strict lockdown guidelines when things begin getting back to normal.

Hodgson, 72, has told friends that he is concerned that will not be allowed to go to Palace's games or even attend their training sessions.

The clubs are tentatively planning on a resumption at some point in the middle of June and Arsenal have become the first Premier League side to return to training at their London Colney facility.
