Cruzeiro midfielder Lucas Silva has shut down talk of a return to Real Madrid.

Silva's current deal with Real expires in 2020.

And he told UOL: "I have not decided anything yet, but I had a quick conversation with Mano (Menezes, coach of Cruzeiro).

"He told me he did not want to lose anyone from the squad and I stressed my willingness to remain. He said he was going to tell the board. Since I returned to Cruzeiro it is the most qualified team we have had and that motivates me to stay, I feel at home.

"My contract is near the end and the meeting with the Real is approaching, but I stress that my desire is to stay."
