Cruzeiro chief Alexandre Mattos says AC Milan attacker Robinho has his heart set on returning to Santos.

Mattos admits they made an attempt to bring the Brazilian home themselves.

"We made an approach for him, a real attempt," said Mattos, "but the player was clear: he wants to stay in Europe or go back to Santos."
