Johan Cruyff is battling Chelsea for the commitment of Guus Hiddink.
The Sunday Mirror says Cruyff is determined to persuade Hiddink to ignore Chelsea's approach and join him at Ajax.
The Dutch legend is attempting to rebuild the once mighty club.
Frank de Boer is their coach and Cruyff is their official adviser.
He wants Hiddink to accept a role as director of football - similar to the opening that will be offered at Stamford Bridge.
Hiddink is also wanted by PSV Eindhoven, where he enjoyed a successful spell as coach.
