Crouch happy to have Stoke future settled

Peter Crouch was delighted with his equaliser for Stoke City in their 1-1 draw at Newcastle United.

Crouch came off the bench to nod home late on.

It was Crouch's sixth goal of the season and his first since signing a new two-year contract extension last month.

He told The Sentinel: "I'm more than happy here. I've enjoyed my years here so far and hopefully there are more to come.

"The manager's building a great squad - It's certainly the best one since I walked through the door - and we're only looking forward.

"With the chairman's backing, the manager we've got and the players there is no limit to what we can achieve.

"It's always nice to do well in the Premier League and if we can finish in the top 10 that will be a great achievement. But the cup's special and if we can get this side and this city to another final that would be fantastic. That means we've got a couple of big games coming up."
