Peter Crouch is pushing Stoke City to open talks over a new deal.
The Daily Star Sunday says the former England star is the subject of interest from QPR and West Brom, but Stoke boss Mark Hughes hopes the beanpole striker will remain part of his plans.
Hughes publicly declared his intention to keep the 33-year-old following his impressive display against Manchester United on New Year's Day.
And Crouch's advisers are now believed to be ready to begin negotiations in the hope of lining-up a new two-year deal at the Britannia Stadium.
