Crewe Alexandra are keen to take Derby winger Lee Holmes on loan for six months.

The League One team having been searching for a left-sided midfielder since David Vaughan moved to Real Sociedad a fortnight ago.

Holmes, 20, spent part of last season out on loan at Bradford. He is currently recovering from a hamstring injury sustained in a reserve team match against Tottenham Hostpur.
