Crewe midfielder Ness hopes for Stoke future

Crewe Alexandra midfielder Jamie Ness is determined to build a future with parent club Stoke City.

The 23 year-old midfielder is currently on loan at Crewe and seemingly a million miles away from Premier League contention.

"I have 18 months left on my contract at Stoke and Mark has told me I'm the type of player he wants in his team," Ness told The Sentinel.

"But it's difficult to throw me in at Premier League level after the injuries I've had and lack of game time.

"I'm in the Crewe team just now and optimistic that the manager will give me a chance at Stoke when I go back. I can make an impact at Stoke. I'm fit enough and strong enough."
