Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis is happy seeing Max Clayton sign for Bolton Wanderers.
The 20-year-old agreed a three-year deal with Championship side Bolton Wanderers earlier this week ending months of speculation about his future.
Davis told The Sentinel: "I am pleased with closure because it's rumbled on for many months.
"It's been far too long for him and us.
"I'm glad that it's been concluded now and we can move on.
"We had a price and we stuck to it and stood our ground and as I've said before, I thought it was the right thing to do.
"We have not lowered our expectations or our amount over time and stood firm which is what we needed to do.
"In the end Max has got his move and everyone is happy."
