Argentine legend Hernan Crespo admits he came close to signing for Real Madrid during his career.

The former Inter Milan, Chelsea and Lazio star never tasted football in Spain.

"In 2002 there was a real possibility of joining Real Madrid, right after the World Cup.

"If Ronaldo had stayed at Inter Milan, I would have signed for Real Madrid, but Ronaldo ended up leaving for Madrid and I went to Inter," revealed Crespo.
