Coyne cleared to play for Perth Glory

Perth Glory defender Chris Coyne has received his international transfer certificate, making him eligible to once again play for the club.

The 32-year old centre-half has spent the past 10 months on loan with Chinese Super League club Liaoning Hongyun but will return to Western Australia to play out the remainder of the 2010/11 A-League season with the Glory.

Coyne made 16 starts and five substitute appearances in the league with Liaoning who finished 7th for the 2010 CSL season.

Coyne returned to Australia in 2009 after spending about 12 years in Europe, beginning his time with West Ham United in 1996, and then taking in spells with Brentford, Southend United, Dundee, Luton Town and Colchester United.

He will not come into the squad for tonight's clash with Gold Coast United because of injury and a deicison wil be made later in the week in regards to his chances of taking on the Brisbane Roar on Friday night at Suncorp Stadium.
