Coventry want permanent deal for Man City keeper Schmeichel

Coventry City boss Chris Coleman wants to sign permanently on-loan Manchester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel for £1 million.

Coleman said: "I played against Kasper's old man a few times including in an FA Cup semi-final between Crystal Palace and United, when he really was something special.

"Kasper is different to Peter in a lot of ways and he's only 21 - but he is very opinionated, you do have to drag him off the training ground and he's a top keeper.

"One save at the end of our draw with Wolves was worthy of winning any match - you just turned round and said 'God, **** me, how did he keep that one out?"'
