Scottish giants Celtic are interested in Irish goalkeeper Kieren Westwood but Coventry City are not about to let him depart.
The 26-year old has emerged on the January wishlist of Hoops boss Neil Lennon but Coventry's Aidy Boothroyd wants Westwood to remain at the Richo Arena for the rest of the English Championship season, even he has to leave for free in summer when his contract expires.
"I am telling you this now, we are coming up to January and Keiren will not be going anywhere," said Boothroyd. "I would rather his contract ran down and he went for nothing, if that's going to happen.
"We are fifth in the league at the moment and looking to finish a lot better than we have done over the last 10 years. But what you don't do is sell your best players, and you certainly don't sell them when you get next to nothing for them.
"So he will not be going anywhere and neither will anyone else unless we want to sell them, and we don't want to be doing that right now."
