Coventry City fullback Sam McCallum admits the interest of Liverpool is welcome.
McCallum says he was aware of potential interest from Liverpool , but refused to let himself get too carried away with the reports.
“It does make me smile," he laughed. “I did see that and I suppose it doesn't get much bigger than that but like I said, it's just in the background and nothing has come of it."
“It makes me feel happy but you obviously don't know what's true and what's not, so..."
Formerly of Isthmian League side Herne Bay, McCallum was picked up through the Jamie Vardy Academy system as a 17-year-old.
McCallum, now 19, has been a regular for Coventry this season, finding the net on three occasions and picking up two assists.
