League OneCoventry City are expected to begin interviewing nine candidates for the vacant managerial post this week, BBC Coventry & Warwickshire understands. The Sky Blues club board has now created a short-list of nine to step into the breach at the Ricoh Arena.
It is not known whether the bookmakers' favourite, Oxford United boss Chris Wilder, is among the candidates.
Coventry have yet to confirm whether an appointee will be in place for Saturday's match against Tranmere.
Until the appointment is made, Richard Shaw and Lee Carsley will remain in charge on a caretaker basis.
