The Chelsea future of Thibaut Courtois is clouded.
The London Evening Standard says Jose Mourinho, who returned to Chelsea as manager in the summer, is a huge admirer of both Courtois and Petr Cech, having worked with the latter in his first spell between 2004-7 and seen Courtois in action with Atletico Madrid while in charge of rivals Real Madrid.
A decision on Courtois's future will have to be made in the new year, especially if the Belgian doesn't feel like he has a chance of first team football at Stamford Bridge.
He is unlikely to sign a contract extension in that situation and Chelsea will be in danger of seeing the potential of receiving a large transfer fee diminish.
