Boss Steve Cotterill has thanked owner Ray Trew for his role this season following his decision not to put Notts County into administration. "There was a lot of talk about administration when I came in but full credit to the chairman that he didn't put us into administration - it was a massive boost for everybody," said Cotterill, who has guided Notts to the top of League Two following 10 wins and two draws in his 12 games in charge.

"I felt that from everybody within the first couple of days so credit to him because that would have been a kick in the teeth for everybody."
