San Carlos midfielder Alvaro Sanchez is being heavily linked with a summer move to MLS club Houston Dynamo.
The 26-year old, who has represented the Costa Rica national team, is reportedly set to sign with the Dynamo after reports emerged suggesting a deal had been done.
Fox Sports en Espanol reporter Jorge Caamano tweeted the following: 'Passed the trial and is ready to sign, I talked to sanchez, it's a done deal.'
A translated excerpt from a report on aldia.cr said that Sanchez was actually going for a trial: 'The forward of San Carlos, Alvaro Sanchez, confirmed this afternoon to Al Dia, that he will travel tomorrow to Houston, Texas (USA), where a trial of a week with the Houston Dynamo of Major League Soccer.'
Whilst Sanchez, who has previously spent time on loan with FC Dallas, spoke on everardoherrera.com saying that he was "very pleased and grateful to God for this new opportunity."
