Tottenham defender Vedran Corluka is urging manager Harry Redknapp to go for Croatia teammate Darijo Srna.

"I know that Redknapp is keen on Srna and would not be surprised if Tottenham go for him," he said.

"I would play in the middle of defence if that were the case.

"We'll see what Darijo's plans are, but it seems that there are plenty of offers, which is no surprise given his quality."

Srna, who can play in midfield or defence, was Shakhtar Donetsk's player of the season and played a starring role during their defeat of Werder Bremen in last month's last ever UEFA Cup in Turkey.
