Corinthians president Andres Sanchez has welcomed rumours that Juventus striker David Trezeguet is keen to join the Brazilian giants.

This week, Corinthians wing-back Roberto Carlos revealed Trezeguet had expressed interest in joining the club.

Sanchez said: "The fact is that we should be proud of this. But between wanting to play here and the real possibility that this happens there is a great distance. Nobody has talked to me about this possibility.

"We remain with our feet on the ground."
