Corinthians fullback Dodo has declared he's moving to AS Roma.

Dodo, nicknamed 'the new Roberto Carlos,' has confirmed a transfer to Roma via Twitter.

"Tomorrow I will be in Italy. I'm going to Roma," he wrote on his Twitter account.

"It is a club that proved it believes in me, despite my difficult moment after the injury. I will work hard on the field and I'm very happy with this decision.

"A new phase of my career begins now."

The 20 year-old had been a long-term target of Manchester United.
