Steve Coppell is under consideration at Crystal Palace for a return as technical director.

The Daily Mail says Coppell could make a romantic return to Selhurst Park, with the former manager to be considered for the role.

Co-owner Steve Parish has been keen on restructuring the current management system to include a director of football for a while.

He gave serious consideration to the move at the start of last season but decided against it.

But Palace sources have indicated Parish remains keen on adopting the system at the club.
