Kenny Cooper has joined MLS expansion franchise Portland Timbers from German outfit 1860 Munich. The 26-year old striker returns to the USA after about a year-and-a-half with the 2.Bundesliga outfit which included a loan spell with English club Plymouth Argyle who were in the Championship last season.

Cooper comes to Portland with four years MLS experience in which he scored 40 goals in 90 appearances for FC Dallas between 2006 and 2009.
