Cook: Fulham market ambition convinced me

Former QPR winger Lee Cook says he was convinced about signing with Fulham after seeing how they were working in the summer market.

Cook told fulhamfc.com: "It was an easy decision really. The ambition the Club were showing in the transfer market showed how intent Fulham are to push to the next level and I wanted to be part of that. It was also ideal for me in that I could remain in West London. It was an important factor for me not to have to uproot my family and fiancée by moving to a club up north. It was the perfect move for me.

"In my contract at QPR I had a clause where whatever fee I was sold for, I got 10% of it. Watford got 15% as part of the sell-on, and the manager and chairman were saying that not enough money was being paid for the deal, so I offered them my 10%. It helped them pay off certain debts, so I like to think that I, in some small way, helped the club."
