Birmingham City will play their way out of trouble under new manager Alex McLeish, says striker Cameron Jerome.
Jerome said: "The manager's method seems to be to get the wingers on the ball and use our good players there.
"He doesn't believe in knocking long balls up.
"We've a good group of lads, a good spirit and a good manager. He believes in a strong work ethic."
Yet Jerome is hoping to get some support up front in the coming weeks.
He added: "If I'm asked to play up front on my own I will do that. Obviously it's harder.
"You ask any striker and they want to play two up and, the type of player I am, I prefer to have someone near me."
