"They made an offer after a deal for another player fell through," said his agent Phil McTaggart.
McTaggart admitted that the 28-year-old attacker will now have to reconsider his options, with clubs in Scotland and England reputed to be interested.
"They are thinking of a pre-contract agreement, but there are other clubs that come into the equation now. He is not too upset as he has just bought a new house and was looking to settle in Scotland.
"But the money he was offered in Turkey was substantial for the player and the club and that's why Falkirk reluctantly agreed to the deal as it suited all parties."
