John Kennedy and Lee Naylor were carried off during Wednesday's Champions League win over Shakhtar Donetsk, a match which defenders Mark Wilson, Jean-Joel Perrier-Doumbe and Darren O'Dea were already forced to miss.

However, the latest injury blows have made no difference to Strachan's transfer targets.

"We've still got the same targets, they will not change, positions will not change," he said. "We knew this could have happened. There are no recognised full-backs now but we just need to get on with it."
