Inter Milan coach Antonio Conte is keen on a move for Liverpool midfielder Gini Wijnaldum.
Off contract in June, there's a resignation inside Liverpool that Wijnaldum will leave at the end of this season.
Barcelona, where his former Holland coach Ronald Koeman is in charge, have been regarded as the most likely destination for the midfielder.
However, Conte's interest has the backing of Inter's directors, which have established contact with Wijnaldum's minders, reports FCInterNews via TMW.
The Dutchman's current demands are for a four-year contract at €10m-a-season - plus a hefty signing on bonus.
So far this season, Wijnaldum has played 36 times for Liverpool across all competitions, scoring three goals. He has been with the Reds since 2016 - which was the last time he put pen to paper on a Liverpool contract.
Now 30, Wijnaldum is a senior member of Liverpool's dressing room, but new contract talks have failed to progress after several months of trying.
