Southampton boast the most profitable academy in Europe.

A report from the Swiss Centre for Sports Studies (CIES), studying the transfer market since July 2012, shows Southampton earning €90.2 million from selling academy talent.

Lille came in second, having generated €76 million from sales of their local talent, including Eden Hazard, Mathieu Debuchy and Divock Origi.

Real Sociedad rounds out the top three with €62.2 million from sales.

Sevilla and Borussia Dortmund completed the top five.

CIES state Southampton are "a great example of a club showing how youth training can contribute to the sporting and financial advantage of the club."
