Manchester City winger Jesus Navas is not worried about his place in the City squad amid constant rumours linking Kevin De Bruyne with the club.
Navas believes the expected arrival of De Bruyne from Wolfsburg will only help him improve as it will increase the competition for the wide positions in Manuel Pellegrini's squad.
The Spaniard said: "Everyone wants to be in the starting XI and the competition does not just keep me sharp - everyone in the whole squad has to perform to a high standard.
"I feel I am a really important player within the squad and my duty now is to keep working hard to keep my place in the team.
"I am very focused and working really hard in training every day. This is the way I want to do things this season."
