Damien Comolli is being linked with a sensational return to Tottenham.

The Sunday Express says Comolli as their technical director - the man they sacked four years ago.

The Frenchman, who left his job as Liverpool's director of football strategy by mutual consent in April, has been seen at Tottenham's training ground in the last week.

It has sparked talk that Comolli, 39, who was responsible for the signing of White Hart Lane stars like Luka Modric, Gareth Bale and Dimitar Berbatov the last time around, is on a shortlist as the club seeks a technical director to work alongside manager Andre Villas-Boas.
