Commons urges Celtic to go after unbeaten season

Kris Commons has implored Celtic to attempt to go through the Scottish Premier League campaign without defeat.

The Hoops returned to the top of the table courtesy of a 2-0 home win over Motherwell on Saturday and Commons, who netted in the victory, is now looking for a perfect season as the Glasgow giants chase a third-straight SPL title.

"Last season we were lacklustre after Champions League matches but that wasn't the case today," he said in the wake of then midweek loss to Barcelona.

"We're now going to try to pull away and go unbeaten throughout the league season. We want to win the title by as many points as possible.

"We want it wrapped up sooner rather than later. It will be difficult to do but we need to find a way to win all our games."

Celtic are three points clear of second-placed Inverness with a record of seven wins and a draw from eight outings.
