Reports suggest that Columbus Crew are set to sign Montenegrin left-back Nemanja Vukovic.

The 27-year old had been training with Crew during the pre-season and is expected to sign a deal this week after the club decided not to sign draftee Jamie Finch, also a left-back.

Columbus head coach Robert Warzycha has revealed that the club took Vukovic after his short stint with Montreal Impact and suggested he would be joining the roster soon.

"Montreal let him go so we brought him here," Warzycha told the Columbus Dispatch.

"He's a good kid. He's a good guy. I don't mind that somebody who wants to work hard is staying with us."
