Columbus Crew forward Aaron Horton has joined USL Pro league club Dayton Dutch Lions on loan.

The 19-year old has recently been in the Crew's reserves team but will go out for first team experience with Dayton until June 3which is something that technical director Brian Bliss feels will be a good move for all parties involved.

"Aaron is still a young and relatively inexperienced player,, and the gap in our Reserve League schedule provides an excellent opportunity for him to play in competitive matches with the Dutch Lions," said Bliss.

"We have the ability to recall him at any time should the need arise, but assuming we don't have to, the experience he will gain can only help further his development."
