Colorado's ex-Wycombe duo Smith, Guppy attracting England interest

Colorado Rapids coaching team Gary Smith and Steve Guppy are attracting interest from clubs in their homeland according to reports.

The English pair, who worked together at Wycombe Wanderers, steered the Rapids to the MLS Cup last season and have guided the club into the play-offs this season.

But with their contract expiring at the end of the current campaign, interest is starting to come for the pair who have been in charge at Dick's Sporting Goods Park since the 2009 season.

Smith took over as head coach in late 2008 and immediately brought in former Celtic, Leicester City and Stoke City winger Guppy and the partnership has prospered ever since.
