Colorado Rapids score two late goals to win in Houston

Reigning MLS Cup winners Colorado Rapids scored twice late to produce a come-from-behind 2-1 victory against Houston Dynamo on Wednesday night.

The Rapids fell behind at Robertson Stadium when Colin Clark came up with a brilliant individual effort in the 72nd minute when he took on defender Scott Palguta on the right side of the penalty area before unleashing a left-footer past former teammate Matt Pickens.

But two minutes later, the Rapids leveled in quite unbelievable circumstances when Jamie Smith took a free-kick from a long way out which floated over the wall situated at the top of the area as well as Dynamo keeper Tally Hall weho came out to meet it but was baffled by the length of the attempt.

After the equaliser, the Rapids came hard at the Dynamo and got the winner in the 84th minute when Caleb Folan flicked it back for Palguta who hit it hard and low past Hall to enable his side to go second on the Western Conference table.
