Former Liverpool star Stan Collymore is urging Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe to reject a move to Toronto FC.
Collymore wrote in the People: "Jermain Defoe must stay in the Premier League and forget all about Toronto FC and the MLS if he has any pretensions about going to the World Cup finals with England.
"But my advice to the 31-year-old would be sit tight, wait for your chance and when it comes give it everything you've got.
That way he can have no regrets and, who knows, maybe it'll open the door to an even bigger pay day after the finals."
